ROLE PURPOSE

The Director of Global Events provides leadership and oversight for the planning and execution of major continental and global gatherings across RCCG Youth Continent 9. The Director ensures that events are strategically aligned with the ministry’s vision and delivered with excellence, effective coordination, and measurable impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the planning and execution of major continental and global events.
• Develop effective event planning systems, structures, timelines, and processes.
• Build and lead event teams responsible for successful delivery.
• Coordinate logistics, programmes, venues, personnel, suppliers, and other event requirements.
• Ensure effective collaboration between relevant departments, regions, and external partners.
• Establish clear objectives and measures for evaluating event impact.
• Monitor event budgets and ensure appropriate stewardship of resources.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges before and during events.
• Conduct post-event reviews and implement improvements for future gatherings.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to the relevant SLT leaders.

• Recruit, develop, and coordinate effective event teams.
• Establish clear responsibilities across event teams.
• Develop leaders capable of managing different aspects of major events.
• Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and service.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Director is accountable for the strategic and operational delivery of major events and reports regularly to the SLT through the ministry’s established reporting structure
