ROLE PURPOSE

The Director of Intercession provides spiritual covering for the movement through consistent prayer and intercession. The Director leads the continental prayer function and seeks clarity, discernment, and prophetic insight concerning the direction of the ministry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and lead the continental intercession strategy.
• Establish sustainable prayer structures across regions.
• Coordinate prayer initiatives for the ministry, leaders, churches, and young people.
• Mobilise intercessors around strategic ministry priorities.
• Establish systems for communicating prayer needs appropriately.
• Encourage a culture of consistent prayer throughout the movement.
• Provide spiritual insight and discernment to leadership when appropriate.
• Coordinate prayer coverage for major continental and global events.
• Develop resources and frameworks that strengthen the prayer life of the movement.
• Provide appropriate reports and updates to the SLT.

LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY
• Recruit, train, and develop intercessors.
• Build healthy regional prayer leadership.
• Provide pastoral support and direction to prayer leaders.
• Develop emerging prayer leaders and establish succession

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Director is accountable to the SLT for the effectiveness and health of the continental intercession function.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
• Strength and consistency of continental prayer structures.
• Regional participation and engagement.
• Development of intercessory leadership.
• Prayer coverage for strategic ministry activities.
• Effectiveness of communication and mobilisation systems.

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS
The Director should demonstrate spiritual maturity, discernment, humility, confidentiality, consistency, and a deep commitment to prayer and the spiritual health of the movement.
