ROLE PURPOSE

The Director of Pastoral Youth Ministry provides continental oversight of youth arms operating within RCCG mother/adult parishes (Structure B).
The Director builds and protects relationships with parish pastors and wider RCCG governance regarding the youth voice within mother churches

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide continental oversight for youth ministry within mother parishes.
• Develop healthy relationships with parish pastors and relevant RCCG leadership.
• Advocate for the youth voice within mother churches.
• Establish systems for effective communication between youth leadership and parish leadership.
• Support Regional Youth Coordinators in their responsibilities.
• Identify challenges affecting youth ministry within mother churches.
• Develop frameworks for healthy collaboration between youth and adult structures.
• Promote consistency, accountability, and healthy pastoral practice.
• Monitor the health and development of youth arms within Structure B.
• Report relevant pastoral and structural matters to the SLT

LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY
• Lead and develop the 16 Regional Youth Coordinators.
• Provide pastoral support and leadership coaching.
• Develop regional leadership capacity.
• Promote healthy relationships between youth leaders and parish leadership

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Director is accountable for the health and effectiveness of youth ministry operating within mother churches.

• Health of youth arms within mother churches.
• Quality of parish-youth relationships.

• Resolution of structural and pastoral challenges.

LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS
The Director should demonstrate pastoral maturity, diplomacy, wisdom, relational intelligence, humility, and the ability to navigate multiple leadership structures.
