ROLE PURPOSE

The Director of Music provides leadership for the ministry’s continental music function. The Director is responsible for directing continental music initiatives, choral teams, and the music fellowship, including musical provision for global events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop the continental music strategy in alignment with the wider ministry vision.
• Lead continental music initiatives.
• Provide oversight of choral teams and music fellowships.
• Coordinate musical support for global and major continental events.
• Develop standards for musical excellence and ministry.
• Identify and develop emerging musical talent.
• Establish structures for training and developing music leaders.
• Coordinate relevant music programmes and initiatives across regions.
• Collaborate with Communications & Voice and other relevant departments.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to the relevant senior leader.

LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITY
• Lead and develop welfare and integration teams.
• Build and lead continental music teams.
• Develop musicians, worship leaders, choir leaders, and emerging talent.
• Establish appropriate standards and development pathways.
• Encourage excellence, unity, creativity, and servant leadership

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Director is accountable to the Senior Leader of Communications & Voice for the effective execution of the continental music function.
